Food Truck Wars JULY 9, 2022 CANCELLED

Unfortunately Food Truck Wars that was scheduled for July 9, 2022 with North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation has been cancelled due to low number of applications received. We hope to have a Food Truck Wars in the future. We look forward to seeing you this summer in our programs and at our other scheduled events.

2022 USDA Exotic Woodboring/Bark Beetle Survey

The USDA will be conducting their 2022 Exotic Woodboring/Bark Beetle Survey within South Central Park.  USDA technicians will be placing six tree-hanging insect traps in South Central Park which will run April through September 2022.  The first two traps will be in place the week of April 4 with three more in the first week of May.  All trapping equipment is labeled with USDA contact information if any observer has questions or concerns.

Summer Concert Series Sponsored By: JBC Technologies, Legacy Roofing & NR Conrfest

On Sunday evenings sweet sounds of music and friendly greetings fill the air at the South Central Park Gazebo with the City of North Ridgeville Summer Concert Series. The FREE concerts have a variety of performers appropriate for all age groups. All are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy this traditional summer pastime.
We will try to get in as many concerts as possible, but sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate. For concert updates during the season you can visit our Rainout Line tab on our website.

Walking with Sole formally known as Healthy Strides

All members of the community are welcome! Combines a casual 30-minute walk, preceded by a brief informative talk by local health professionals and city officials. Consider coming to stay active and promote physical fitness, allowing yourself to physically and mentally recharge. Program is free to attend with no pre-registration needed. In case of inclement weather walks will be canceled for the evening. Cancellations will be posted on our website, department Facebook® page and Rainout Line (440)-210-6226. Program will run for 12 consecutive Thursdays.

North Ridgeville Fire Department CPR Classes

North Ridgeville Fire Department is offering CPR classes!
 
American Heart Association 
CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
This class is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings. Participants will learn high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, AHA Chain of Survival (BLS components), important early use of an AED. 
 
Effective ventilations using a barrier device, importance of teams in multi-resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR, and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants. CPR certificate will be received upon completion of this course.  
 
Family & Friends® CPR
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. A CPR certificate is NOT given upon completion if this class.
