General Responsibilities:
The Camp Counselor
position reports to the Day Camp Director and Parks and Recreation Program
Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Camp Counselor is to supervise
and lead children ages 6-12 through day camp activities such as games, sports,
arts & crafts, songs, dance and drama, while providing a safe supervised
environment for campers. Other responsibilities include participating in
training; maintaining records including time sheets, weekly attendance reports,
and accident reports; responding to public inquiries regarding Summer Adventure
Camp; enforcing the Parks and Recreation Departments rules and policies
regarding Summer Adventure Camp; and providing a high level of customer service
for patrons and staff.
Assistant Camp Director

General Responsibilities:
The Assistant Camp Director is a seasonal position that reports to the Parks & Recreation Program Supervisor in charge of Summer Camp and the Camp Director. The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting the Camp Director with the supervision and training of a staff of seasonal employees and the supervision and safety of participants from 6-12 years of age in Summer Adventure Camp. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the daily guidance of campers, leading groups through daily activities, assist and supervise other counselors, and participate with campers. The primary duties of the Assistant Day Camp Director include planning, developing, coordinating, and supervising the weekly day camp activities according to the weekly theme; preparing and maintaining administrative paperwork as directed by the Parks & Recreation Program Supervisor; provide a safe and supervised environment for campers, and providing a high level of customer service for patrons and staff. The Assistant Day Camp Director must be able to work with the Camp Director and staff team. This position needs to be responsible, trustworthy, and able to deal appropriately with staff, the public and difficult situations.

Concessions Manager

An employee in this class is responsible for the performance of a variety of food service tasks at Shady Drive Complex. Duties are performed under the limited direction of the Recreation Supervisor.
Concession Worker

This is seasonal semi-skilled work in the concession stands in the North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation Department. An employee in this class is responsible for the performance of a variety of food service tasks at the City of North Ridgeville recreation facilities. Duties are performed under the limited direction of the Concession Stand Manager.
UMPIRES

Rate of Pay: $13 per game

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Umpires will be responsible for the t-ball (4-5 yr. olds) and coach pitch (6-7 yr. olds). Must be 15 to apply. Umpires are independent contractors and paid $13 per game / bi-weekly. An umpire class will be held in April to go over league rules and on-field work.
